I kinda love it. (reason #1)
OK. Scratch that. No "kinda."
I LOVE IT. (revised reason #1)
Everyone has secrets.
Even best friends.
Mo Fitzgerald knows about secrets. But when she witnesses her best friend's murder, she discovers Verity was hiding things she never could have guessed. To find the answers she needs and the vengeance she craves, Mo--quiet, ordinary, unmagical Mo--will have to enter a world of raw magic and shifting alliances. And she'll have to choose between two very different, equally dangerous guys--protective, duty-bound Colin and brash, mysterious Luc. One wants to save her, one wants to claim her.
Which would you choose?
It was one of those books you start on the way home from work...and...just...keep... reading. (reason #2-10,000) you know it's 3 a.m. and you're texting your friend (Jo) to ask when you can have a moment to read book 2...for foreign sales purposes, of course.

| If Jo was a cyborg, she'd probably have a cool leather jacket and PeeWee at her side. |
That's when said friend texts you back (because she's a cyborg agent who never sleeps, as is the rest of the collective here at NCLA) to say, "Uh huh. Loved it, eh? See attached."
That's when I do a giddy SQUEE dance and decide to go to bed first because, while a cyborg, I need rest, too. (I'm not a vampire).
HAWT does not EVEN BEGIN to describe Luc and Colin...and I don't want to reveal which 'team' I'm on...because I don't want to influence you (*COUGH*rhymes with Ballin'*COUGH*).
I read book 2, TANGLED, in a day.
And now I'm truly torn. Because I have to wait for Erica to finish writing book 3. *sobs*
But for now...I CAN tell you to buy it, read it, savor it, and then get yourself back here to let me know which team YOU are on. (reasons #10,001-99,999)
But most importantly...what you would do when placed in Mo's position at the end of TORN. (reason #100,000)
I know what I would have done. Do you? (reason #100,001)

Team Colin. Totally.
I love Colin so, so much.
Um. Luc. *hoists up TEAM LUC flag*
Okay, I give. I need this book in my life. Looks like it's time to put together a shopping cart!
Sara...LUC does NOT rhyme with "ballin'". Do we need a lesson in rhyming? *taps foot* *hoists up BIGGER TEAM COLLIN flag*
Luc DOES rhyme with duke, though. As in, put up your dukes, because I will fight you.
I don't know if guys are supposed to have teams, but if that's allowed, I'm totally team Luc. Gotta love a little a little southern charm. ;-)
(well, if you can call what Luc has "charm".)
I think "charm" is definitely a Luc word.
But Colin is a Steinbeck-loving, flannel-wearing, truck driving manly man. No contest.
I think I need to read this book ASAP. I like dangerous boys (in fiction)! *runs off in search of TORN*
Luc! Luc! Luc! (that equals 3 votes)
It's on my list!
